Written by Nathanael Jansen
Hey, I'm going to talk about my beautiful whereabout, Indonesia. I will introduce a very famous tourist attraction in Indonesia, the BOROBUDUR TEMPLE.
The BOROBUDUR TEMPLE is located on the island of Java, it is regarded as the world's biggest Buddhist monument, and was once considered as one of the world's seven wonders. The temple covers a huge area, 123 x 123 meters, and designed with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. This monument is very special for Indonesia, it is a sacred heritage build back in the 9th century during Syailendra dynasty, without using any cement or ancient mortar. Borobudur offers both rich-knowledge about the ancient culture, and a magnificent scenery as it is located on a hilltop viewing spacious green fields and distant hills. This temple attracts numerous foreign tourists as the architecture reflects the famous Indian Gupta designs. The special feature of this marvelous temple is that it gives an exclusive experience to visitors to travel this massive-sized temple by walking. This is a very recommended site for the tourist, as it gives a rare opportunity to taste the real Indonesian culture and travel.
